I am Maya Carlet, DNP, APRN, FNP, L.Ac, a family nurse practitioner, acupuncturist, and herbalist with over 20 years of experience in health care. I am the co-owner of Partners In Integrative Healing and State Street TMS in Montpelier, Vermont, where I serve as the Medical Director of Primary Care and Specialty Medical Services. I grew up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and attended the University of Vermont, where I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology. Later, I attended the Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, TX, where I earned a Master of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

After owning a successful Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine practice in New York, NY, I returned to Vermont to attend the University of Vermont College of Nursing, where I earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of private and corporate health care settings, and I am actively engaged in divesting from internal and external systems of oppression. I am currently pursuing certification through the Menopause Society to improve the delivery of health care for individuals assigned female at birth who are experiencing developmental hormonal shifts.

In addition to my degrees in Eastern and Western medicine, I have an extensive background in bodywork, including deep tissue massage, Thai massage, Craniosacral therapy, yoga, mindful awareness practices, and breathwork. I strive to improve health care access and delivery, and I am particularly skilled in promoting the health and wellness of healthcare workers, supporting functional and effective team dynamics, dismantling barriers to healthcare, and expanding access to the broad resources of lifestyle wellness medicine.

I feel very much at home in Vermont and enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, adventuring, and spending time with my friends and family.
